For the past 10+ years, Amanda has worked in the Early Childhood Education field.  Her classroom experience ranges from private, charter to public school settings.  After years of classroom experience and hands on mentoring of student teachers, Amanda transitioned to teacher training and community culture development for an international childcare group.  Amanda completed her Master's degree (Master in the Art of Teaching) at Montclair State University (Montclair, New Jersey) in 2013 before moving to California.

Amanda's primary motivators in founding bloom CHILDCARE + COWORKING are to empower families with young children by building community, and offer working parents the option to keep their families together for a longer period of time before transitioning to preschool.  More on Amanda's personal philosophy on family and community building can be found in our Core Values.

Amanda, Founder

Devin has honed her craft as a skillful early childhood experience facilitator through time at the MMO Summer Camp, teaching toddler yoga, and through supporting families as a sibling doula.  Devin also works as a co-teacher for the local Forest and Sky Program at South Mountain Reservation.

We asked Devin what she loves about working with little ones. "I love being a crucial part of a child’s development, to be there for them day in and out and to be a part of the messy learning process." She is a master of meaningful interactions! "My goal for children in my care is to help them learn to respect one another and respect themselves. To aid them in articulating and expressing their emotions in a thoughtful and empowering way. I aim to help them find what interests them, develop skills based on those interests and a strong sense of themselves which I believe is one of the most important things someone can possess."

One of Devin's favorite quotes is, “All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost..."
